We are Inês and Catarina, and PAPER BOAT is a Portuguese sustainable swimwear brand for kids and families, thoughtfully designed and made in Portugal.

The brand was born in 2019 from our search for unique swimwear for our daughters — pieces that combined timeless design, comfort, quality, and a more conscious approach to fashion.

With backgrounds in architecture and a shared passion for design, fashion, and coastal living, we created PAPER BOAT with the desire to build more than a brand. We wanted to create timeless pieces made to last, inspired by childhood memories, endless summer days, and meaningful family moments by the sea.

GUIDED BY VALUES

Every PAPER BOAT piece is designed with care, comfort, and durability in mind. Our collections are created to grow with childhood and accompany every stage of it — from long beach days to everyday adventures.

We design all our prints, colours, and pieces ourselves, but the final approval always comes from our children — our most honest critics and biggest inspiration.

Our fabrics are made from recycled polyester with UPF 50+ protection, using fibres produced from recycled plastic bottles collected from the ocean — an ocean we are deeply committed to protecting. All swim shorts and hats are also treated for quick drying, combining practicality with comfort.

Every piece is carefully made in Portugal in small productions, with a conscious and responsible approach to craftsmanship and manufacturing.

COLLECTIONS

Our collections are known for their unique mix of prints and timeless designs created for every stage of childhood. Most pieces can be mixed and matched, allowing siblings from 6 months to 16 years old — and even the whole family — to share the same world through our #paperboatfamily concept.

Alongside our main collections, we also create smaller sports capsules inspired by activities such as swimming, gymnastics, skating, running, and tennis — always combining versatility, comfort, and effortless style.
