TAKE CARE OF YOUR PIECES
Swimwear is usually made from synthetic or semi-synthetic fabrics such as nylon or polyester.
When synthetic garments are washed — especially in washing machines — tiny microfibres can be released into the water and eventually reach our oceans. These fibres are not biodegradable and may impact marine life and the environment.
For that reason, our recommendation is simple:
DO NOT MACHINE WASH YOUR SWIMSUITS. HAND WASH WITH CARE.
Your swimsuit does not need to be machine washed and will last longer and maintain its beauty if gently washed by hand using mild soap.
A small stain or tear should not mean the end of your favourite piece. Minor stains can often be removed naturally using simple ingredients such as white vinegar or baking soda.
We believe in caring for our pieces so they can be worn, loved and passed on for longer.
PRODUCTION & PACKAGING
All PAPER BOAT pieces are carefully made in Portugal alongside skilled artisans and trusted partners who share our values and attention to detail.
We are committed to conscious and responsible production, using local manufacturing and avoiding plastic in our packaging. Each order is delivered in a reusable raw cotton bag.
ZERO WASTE
At PAPER BOAT, we believe in reducing waste while giving materials a second life. Through our #desperdiciozero movement, leftover fabrics from previous collections are transformed into small accessories and everyday pieces such as skate covers and small bags.
By repurposing these materials, we aim to reduce waste while creating thoughtful pieces designed to last and be loved for longer.
